LES BEE - National Community Coach Development Manager

Les has been a Director of Coaching or Technical Director for Football in 3 different States over a period of 30 years. He also worked across all sports with the Australian Sports Commission and Sport education Victoria for over 10 years, helping in the design and delivery of coaching and officiating programs. Responsible for developing the coaching component of the “Play for Life” strategy that was utilised in the Active after schools community program.

 

A regular presenter at International, National and State sports workshops and conferences specialising in a “Game sense” approach to coaching and has worked in the development and delivery of this aspect of coaching programs across a wide range of sports, including Football, Netball, Hockey, AFL, Cricket, Gaelic Football.

 

Les is also the author of the “Inclusive coaching” chapter in the ASC’s Intermediate Coaching Principles resource. Twice finalist in ASC’s Eunice Gill Award for contribution to coaching.

 

Passionate about taking coach development to the coaches in their own environment and expanding the quantity and quality of support that can be accessed with the club.
