MiniRoos in Profile: Celtyn Jones (Pine Hills FC)

Pine Hills FC's Celtyn Jones is like hundreds and thousands of MiniRoos around Australia getting ready to get back into their kit and playing again.

Celtyn was asked about how he was feeling about being back training and what he did to be ready for the return of football.

"It felt good," he said. "Because I haven't been back for a long time, since March."

"I have been doing lots of fitness stuff like mountain biking and some running."

MiniRoo Profile

Name:

Celtyn Jones

Age:

11

Club:

Pine Hills FC

I’ve been playing for …

7 years.

Celtyn has been playing football for seven years and with the season in Brisbane not far away from starting, he is looking forward to getting back to playing like his hero, Liverpool's Sadio Mané.

"I usually average one or two goals a game so I want to do that again this season."

"I want to play like Sadio Mane.  He is always scoring goals and he is really fast down the wing and he always cuts in and helps in lots of goals."

"Most of the time I play good with my teammates and they set me up."

For Celtyn, football can't come back quick enough.

"I love that it's a fun game and I can have fun with my teammates."

For Celtyn's dad, Dafydd, he is also looking forward to the restart of games and loved witnessing the joy as football returned.

"They were very, very happy to see each other," he said.

"They were just chatting away, having fun and I enjoy seeing just that togetherness."

For now Celtyn is hard at work preparing for the first whistle in 2020.
