Chipping Norton FC introduce ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off for Girls program

Chipping Norton FC have taken the ball and run with it, introducing the new ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off For Girls program.

On Saturday the 5th of May 2018, the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association Club held their first girls only program.

Over the past weekend Football NSW Game Development Officer Kevin Guardado Amaya made a visit to the club’s second session with the program now having a total of 10 girls that have not played football before this.

The program is aimed to not only promote an inclusive environment for young females, but to also endorse coaching education and provide further opportunities to young female coaches and role models within the community.

The participants have been gifted with the present of Catherine Cannuli and coaches Katelyn, Jamie, and Rhea from SDSFA in the last two weeks. Chipping Norton FC have also gained 2 new female coaches in Eleni and A’aliyah who have been a great addition and help to the program, coaching the young participants.

Club president Brandon Punter said the following about the program: “The highlight of my season to date, for what it contributes to ladies football!” This is the first program of its type in the SDSFA with the aim to expand in 2018.

Due to the success of the program’s opening day, the Chipping Norton Football Club have now extended the duration of the ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off For Girls program with new participants able to start as soon as this weekend.

The program will be running every Saturday morning, including this coming weekend for the following five weeks at South Park in Chipping Norton.
