Announcing the ALDI MiniRoos ‘Dream Team’

After a nationwide search for Australia’s young football talent, four football mad kids have been named as the ALDI MiniRoos ‘Dream Team’, getting a taste of the sports star life.

In an exciting first for ALDI, Griffin Macfarlane (6), Jirelle Boutros (9), Claire Corbett (7) and Jarrah Longbottom (8), have been given the unique honour of appearing on ALDI’s Wheat Biscuits packaging, with the popular breakfast cereal in stores all across Australia from May.

The talented four’s newfound stardom doesn’t just stop on the packet of ALDI’s Wheat Biscuits. The kids and their families have already had their first taste of being in the ALDI MiniRoos Dream Team by enjoying VIP tickets at the Hyundai A-League Grand Final in Newcastle. The Dream Team watched the final teams warm up on the sidelines ahead of the game, played on the pitch at half time and presented the winners with their medals at the end of the match. The Dream Team also extended their fame through a special Fox Sports broadcast, in which they had the chance to be part of a commentary panel.

Being told of her new role, ALDI MiniRoo Claire said, “I screamed with excitement when I found out I was chosen! I love playing football and being an ALDI MiniRoo because it’s so much fun. I can make new friends and practise my football skills every week. And now all of my team can see me whenever they eat their breakfast!”
