Perth Glory launch Kick-Off Program

Perth Glory are teaming up with the ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off program to help boys and girls across Western Australia learn how to play football.

The Hyundai A-League club have signed up to run the FFA approved national introductory program for kids aged between four and nine years-old.

Glory CEO Peter Filopoulos said: “We are highly motivated to ensure Perth Glory are working in partnership with Football Federation Australia (FFA) and Football West on national strategies to further increase participation in the community.

“Programs like ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off are extremely important to growing the game.”

Filopoulos added: “When the FFA approached Perth Glory to operate within their national framework we didn’t hesitate to jump on board and work together.”

Glory will work in close partnership with Football West to identify key areas for growth and hand pick clubs to run this initiative.

Football West Head of Development Jamie Harnwell said: “The program will ensure ALDI MiniRoos participants have increased opportunities to engage in the game.”

“The involvement of Perth Glory at the Football West operated ALDI MiniRoos Kick-Off program sites extends our ability to service clubs who share our goal of growing the game in Western Australia.

“We hope that by having Glory on board at these clubs, we can collectively increase the number of participants at an age when football is about having fun and learning the basic skills of the game.”
