The annual rebel Female Football Awards recognise members of the footballing community who have shown an extraordinary commitment to women's football.

Female Player of the Year 

This female player is inspiring both on and off the football pitch and always gives her all. She is a highly valued member of her team and positively promotes the women's game. Her commitment and enthusiasm at all training sessions and matches is evident and she is always eager to learn and develop as a player. 

  • Must be a female player registered within the respective Member Federation 

Female Coach of the Year  

This female coach has been involved in the round ball game either as an employed or volunteer coach for a number of years. This coach has a genuine passion for the game, for ensuring all players have a safe and enjoyable experience and for developing players to reach their potential. 

  • Must be coaching within an Association/Club within the respective Member Federation. 

Female Referee of the Year  

This female referee has demonstrated excellence in football officiating and has contributed significantly to the increased professionalism of the game. This referee always officiates in a positive manner and effectively provides leadership and guidance to participants. She possesses the important qualities of integrity, honesty and respect. 

  • Must be officiating within the respective Member Federation. 

 

Male Champion of the Year  

This male actively advocates for women and girls and understands the important role females play in growing the game from the grassroots right through to elite pathways. This male is committed to ensuring women and girls are represented and play an active role in developing the game. He often uses his individual and collective leadership to positively affect change and ensure there are equal opportunities for women and girls in football. 

  • Must be volunteering in or working with the respective Member Federation 

Female Administrator of the Year  

This woman may be a volunteer or an employed administrator who demonstrates a high level of passion and significantly contributes to football. She always goes above and beyond the requirements of her role to ensure the continued development of the game. 

  • Must be volunteering at or working for a Hyundai A-League/Westfield W-League Club

This female is an excellent role model on and off the pitch. Her influence on the game extends beyond her professional playing capacities, with a focus on community. This player embodies what it takes to be a professional footballer; someone who is not only dedicated on the pitch, but also supports and encourages growth of the game at all levels within the community. The winner will be selected based on good sportsmanship and attitude. 

  • This player must have played for a Westfield W-League Club in the 2017/18 season 
  • This player must be under 21 at the start of the season 

Female Fan of the Year 

This female's supports her chosen Hyundai A-League/Westfield W-League club demonstrated in the following ways: season membership, role in supporter's group, social media presence and actively promoting the club within the community. 

  • Must be a current supporter of a Hyundai A-League/Westfield W-League Club demonstrating support by attending/viewing games of her chosen team.
